Photographs
Through photography I am able to share images of things which are often over looked either due to their size, the area they are found in or the fact that they are not considered worthy of a second glance. The innate beauty found in usual places can awaken that childhood sense of curiosity enabling us to see things differently.
Macro
The use of a macro lens enables us to observe details often invisible to the naked eye. Enlarging these objects well beyond their natural size enables the creation of a ‘wow’ factor.
Manipulation
Using digital manipulation can result in interesting contrasts, while the use of black and white imagery enables us to concentrate on the textures and patterns of an image. Both allow for the possibility of the creation of more abstract pieces.
